Applications and guidance

Advanced Sensor Technology

AST Model SRX-CTR34 Diving Oxygen Sensor

The AST Model SRX-CTR34 Diving Oxygen Sensor from Applied Sensing Technologies is designed as a direct replacement for Teledyne O-13, OxyCheq O-13, IT Gambert D-13, and Analytical Industries PSR-11-37-D4 oxygen sensors. Therefore, users can install it easily in compatible diving and oxygen monitoring equipment.

The sensor provides a signal output of 7–13 mV in air. In addition, it features a 3-pin Molex electrical connector for secure electrical connection. The sensor also includes an M16 × 1 mm threaded front end, which ensures proper mechanical installation.

Under ambient temperature and pressure, the expected operating life is approximately 36 months. As a result, the sensor offers long service intervals for diving applications.

Moreover, the sensor uses a proprietary electrolyte formulation. This design ensures full utilization of the lead (Pb) anode. Consequently, the sensor delivers longer operating life with minimal signal drift. This stability also reduces the need for frequent calibration.

Furthermore, the geometry of the anode material plays an important role in the internal electrochemical reactions. The activated anode and optimized geometry help maintain excellent linearity from air up to 100% oxygen. Therefore, the sensor provides accurate oxygen measurement across a wide operating range.

Finally, the AST SRX-CTR34 oxygen sensor is designed, developed, and manufactured in the United States by Applied Sensing Technologies, ensuring reliable quality and consistent performance
