Technical overview
AST Model SRX-CT-1 Oxygen Sensor is recommended for breathing air equipment such as ventilators, is a galvanic type micro fuel cell specific to oxygen, a drop-in replacement to City Technology MOX-1, Envetec OOM102, AII PSR-11-917-M, KRANZ MK50212. Each AST Model SRX-CT-1 oxygen sensor is tested at 30 inches of water column pressure for any gas leakage. Proprietary electrolyte formulation and anode structure ensures full utilization of Pb anode, thus providing longer life without signal drift thus minimizing periodic calibration requirement. AST brand sensors are designed, developed and manufactured in the USA.
Applications and guidance
Advanced Sensor Technology
The Model AST-CT-1 Oxygen Sensor is specifically designed for breathing air equipment, including ventilators. It utilizes galvanic micro fuel cell technology engineered exclusively for oxygen measurement, thereby delivering accurate and reliable performance.
Moreover, the AST-CT-1 oxygen sensor functions as a direct drop-in replacement for several widely used models, including Teledyne R-22MED, Analytical Industries PSR-11-917-M, City Technology MOX-1, Envetec OOM102, and KRANZ MK50212. As a result, users can integrate it seamlessly into existing systems without requiring modifications.
To ensure consistent quality, AST subjects each sensor to rigorous testing, including output verification, 24-hour stability testing, and gas leakage testing at 30 inches of water column pressure. Consequently, every unit meets strict performance and reliability standards prior to deployment.
In addition, the sensor incorporates a proprietary electrolyte formulation, a super-activated anode material, and a uniquely engineered structure. Together, these features maximize utilization of the lead (Pb) anode, extend operational life, and minimize signal drift. As a result, the sensor reduces the need for frequent calibration while maintaining long-term stability.
CAUTION:
- Users must verify compatibility with their intended equipment before installation.
- Although the sensor offers enhanced stability, users should calibrate it before use and again after 8 hours of continuous operation.
It is important to note that this class of sensor does not currently have FDA approval; however, an application for FDA Premarket Notification remains under review.
Finally, AST designs, develops, and manufactures its sensors in the United States, thereby ensuring high standards of quality, consistency, and reliability.
