Technical overview

AST-1019-OP oxygen purity analyzer is designed to measures high levels of oxygen, up to 100% with high accuracy. The analyzer is a simple still very accurate alternate to high-maintenance and very expensive paramagnetic type oxygen analyzers- AST-1019-OP oxygen purity analyzer uses especially designed electrochemical oxygen sensor for measuring the purity of industrial and medical grade oxygen. The analyzer offers field selectable suppressed ranges of 90-100%, 95-100% and 98-100% for optimum accuracy. The analyzer has bright LED display with resolution of 2 digits after the decimal point. This feature ensures highly accurate oxygen purity measurement. The integral barometric pressure compensation enhances measurement accuracy where ambient pressure can change. This is in contrast to the conventional oxygen analyzers offered by other manufacturers where minor changes in barometric pressure can severely impact measurement accuracy.

AST-1019-OP oxygen purity analyzer offers user selectable two oxygen alarms, with latching or non-latching option, fine tune temperature compensation and user selectable digital filter for optimal signal to noise ratio. The analyzer also offers excellent overall system response time.

Integral oxygen sensor used in AST-1019-OP oxygen purity analyzer is model AST-222-OP offering 24 months expected life in 100% oxygen. AST-1019-OP is a highly reliable oxygen purity monitor. It requires very low maintenance thus offering an attractive alternate to much expensive Paramagnetic type oxygen purity analyzers . AST brand sensors are designed, developed and manufactured in the USA

Applications and guidance

Advanced Sensor Technology

AST-1019-OP Oxygen Purity Analyzer

The AST-1019-OP Oxygen Purity Analyzer from Applied Sensing Technologies is designed to measure high concentrations of oxygen in both industrial and medical-grade oxygen streams. The analyzer uses a specially designed electrochemical oxygen sensor, which provides stable measurements at high oxygen levels without significant signal drift.

Moreover, the analyzer features a simple and robust design that delivers high measurement accuracy while requiring minimal maintenance. Consequently, it serves as an attractive alternative to more complex and expensive Paramagnetic Oxygen Analyzer systems, which often require frequent maintenance.

Measurement Ranges and Display

To ensure optimal measurement accuracy, the analyzer provides field-selectable suppressed measurement ranges, including:

  • 90–100% O₂

  • 95–100% O₂

  • 98–100% O₂

In addition, the analyzer includes a bright LED display with two decimal place resolution, which allows operators to monitor oxygen purity levels with high precision.

Enhanced Measurement Accuracy

The AST-1019-OP oxygen purity analyzer also incorporates integral barometric pressure compensation. This feature automatically adjusts measurements for changes in ambient pressure. As a result, the analyzer maintains consistent accuracy even in environments where barometric pressure fluctuates.

By contrast, many conventional oxygen analyzers on the market do not compensate for barometric pressure changes, which can significantly affect measurement accuracy.

Advanced Control Features

Furthermore, the analyzer includes several user-configurable features designed to improve system performance and operational flexibility:

  • Two user-selectable oxygen alarms

  • Latching or non-latching alarm configuration

  • Fine-tune temperature compensation

  • User-selectable digital filtering to improve signal-to-noise ratio

Together, these features help optimize measurement stability while providing fast overall system response time.

Sensor and Maintenance

The analyzer is supplied with the AST-222-OP % oxygen sensor, which is specifically designed for high-purity oxygen measurement. Under normal operating conditions, the sensor offers an expected operating life of approximately 24 months.

In addition, the sensor requires no routine maintenance other than periodic span calibration. When replacement becomes necessary, users can easily install a new sensor at relatively low cost. Consequently, the system provides a cost-effective alternative to paramagnetic oxygen purity analyzers.

Finally, all AST brand oxygen sensors are designed, developed, and manufactured in the United States by Applied Sensing Technologies, ensuring consistent quality and reliable performance for industrial oxygen monitoring applications.

  • Proprietary electrolyte formulation and anode geometry offers extended sensor life even at 100% oxygen levels
  • Fast response, 90% of step change in under 13 seconds
  • Barometric pressure compensated

Key Analyzer Features
