Advanced Sensor Technology

AST-14D2 Diving Oxygen Sensor for JJ-CCR Rebreather

The AST-14D2 Diving Oxygen Sensor from Applied Sensing Technologies is designed specifically for JJ-CCR rebreather systems. It serves as a direct replacement for the JJ-CCR oxygen sensor and the AII PSR-11-39-JJ O₂ sensor.

The sensor features a female SMB connector on the cable, which ensures a secure and reliable electrical connection with compatible rebreather systems. Because it is a form-fit replacement, divers can install the sensor easily without modifying the equipment.

Under ambient temperature and pressure in air, the sensor offers an expected operating life of approximately 40 months, which provides long service intervals for diving applications.

The AST-14D2 sensor uses a proprietary electrolyte formulation combined with an optimized anode structure. This design ensures full utilization of the lead (Pb) anode, which helps extend sensor life. As a result, the sensor delivers stable output with minimal signal drift, thereby reducing the need for frequent calibration.

Furthermore, the geometry of the anode material plays a key role in the internal electrochemical reactions. The activated anode and its unique geometry help maintain excellent linearity from air up to 1.4 atmospheres of oxygen, which is essential for accurate oxygen monitoring in diving and life-support systems.

Finally, the AST-14D2 oxygen sensor is designed, developed, and manufactured in the United States by Applied Sensing Technologies, ensuring dependable quality and performance.
